Valvan [वाळवण]

Sun-dried papads, known as Valvan in Marathi, are traditional ready-to-cook snacks made by drying seasoned dough under the sun. In Maharashtra, these papads hold special significance during fasting (upvas) periods. Among them, Nanukaka's popular varieties like Sabudana Batata Chikodi, Sabudana Batata Stick, Batata Kis, Sandgi Mirchi, and Taak Mirchi are favorite choices. These wholesome and flavorful papads are enjoyed throughout the year, but especially during upvas (fasting) days and the monsoons.
